Meet the Directors

Bailey Benoit

Ms. Benoit has been the Director of Bands for Litchfield High School since the summer of 2022. She conducts the Wind Ensemble, Varsity Band, and Concert Band, while also directing the Pep Band, Marching Band and Middle School Jazz Ensemble.

Bailey obtained her Bachelor of Science in Music Education in May of 2019 from Minnesota State University Moorhead. After college, she taught for one year at Liberty Middle School in West Fargo, ND followed by another big move to continue her education. In the fall of 2020, she was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at Oklahoma State University working with the ensembles in the Greenwood School of Music and the Cowboy Marching Band. While attending OSU, she was an active member in the trumpet studio, a recipient of the Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year Award for 2022, and received her Masters Degree in Wind Band Conducting.

Mr. Taylor has worked in the Litchfield District since 2018. He is the director of the middle school bands, high school percussion ensemble and jazz ensemble.

Aside from his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education From Augsburg College, he also holds a Master’s degree from Concordia University in Education and is finishing his Doctorate of Music Education at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, graduating in the spring of 2024. Kelly also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed Mortician in the state of MN. Kelly has over 20 years in funeral service, working for his family’s funeral home and other companies as well. During his time in this profession, he has served families of all faiths across the country and the world.
